Julie Rupenski is the Founder and CEO of MedBest Recruiting, located in Tampa, Florida. Since opening the firm in 2001, Rupenski has grown MedBest into an award-winning, multimillion-dollar national company. Under her leadership, the firm has received numerous accolades, including being named a Top 20 Executive Search Firm in 2024, a Top 10 Interim Services Provider in 2023, and earning spots on the Inc. 5000 and Tampa Bay Fast 50 lists in 2021. She was also recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Tampa in both 2022 and 2025 by Women We Admire.
Rupenski has a deep understanding of the senior living industry, gained through years of working in operations where she developed firsthand knowledge of the leadership required to drive success. Today, she is committed to placing qualified senior living executives in leadership roles where they can make the greatest impact. She continues her industry education through conferences, forums, and expos and has been interviewed and featured as a guest columnist in national publications including Argentum Magazine, Provider Magazine, LeadingAge, and McKnight’s Home Care. In Florida, Rupenski’s leadership blogs have been published by LeadingAge Southeast and the Florida Senior Living Association. In 2024, she was invited to join Inc. Masters, an exclusive, invitation-only network for Inc. 5000 and Inc. Female Founders honorees. She holds long-standing professional affiliations with the National Association of Personnel Services and the National Investment Center for Senior Housing and Care.
Outside of work, Rupenski is an avid pickleball player and competes in tournaments across the United States and Europe. She is also a passionate supporter of charitable causes, having sponsored the 5K Ruck Run in St. Petersburg, Florida, which raises awareness of soldier suicide, and the Roots Music Project in Boulder, Colorado, a nonprofit community that believes in the power of music to make the world a better place.
