VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE

General Purpose of the Position:   The Vice President of Finance is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of client facilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. Overall responsibility for accounting, budgeting, reporting, information systems and payroll. This financial expert will assist the company in it’s goal to turn around facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Vice President of Finance will set forth a prioritized plan, with long and short-term milestones to achieve the following:Near Term Success:The Vice President of Finance will rapidly gain a comprehensive understanding of the of each client communities and their operations, corporate structure and accounting and reporting processes.  The Vice President of Finance will thoroughly review the financial operations infrastructure, cash management operations, accounting and finance functions, non-clinical regulatory and compliance needs, as well as optimize the finance team, its organizational structure and processes, competencies, culture and compliance efforts of each client facility.   Near term success will be measured by the Vice President of Finance’s ability to rapidly understand and develop a working knowledge of the each client’s accounting, financial, legal and regulatory activities and exert management and leadership to achieve the following:
  • Optimize each client facility’s banking and cash management structure and successfully execute daily cash management, payroll, accounts payable, and corporate borrowing activities.
  • Assess of financial department reporting and accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency and value of financial information.
  • Assess the finance team members’ capabilities and responsibilities to ensure that all of the functions and activities under Vice President of Finance’s domain and assigned and optimized to ensure all critical functions are performed effectively and within the acceptable time frames.
Long Term Success:Long-term success will be measured by the Vice President of Finance’s ability achieve the objectives set forth above.  Success will necessarily involve supporting the company’s growth initiatives, integrating new clients and continuing to develop on both the personal and professional level.   In particular, the successful long-term candidate will:
  • Become a valuable partner to the other senior executives and all clients;
  • Add value in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner;
  • Prove adept at motivating the existing team members who fit into new operational structure and recruiting high quality, additional team members to adhere to the company’s cultural values and objectives.
