Unexpected Offer Seals Deal For Interim Director of Nursing!

One of MedBest’s clients, a not-for-profit, faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Community in Illinois, found themselves in need of an Interim Director of Nursing for their Skilled Nursing building while they conducted their own search for a permanent one.

Their current Director of Nursing was not a perfect fit for the job.  Therefore, they reached out to Danny Yachouh with MedBest’s Interim team asking for assistance in providing an Interim Director of Nursing for a 3-month contract while they interviewed their own candidates.

Expectations for Interim DON
The Interim Director of Nursing had to be well-versed and experienced in scheduling, staffing, and the management of a clinical team.

Perfect Timing
Danny and the Interim team were already working with an extraordinary Interim Director of Nursing who had just completed an assignment at one of MedBest’s skilled nursing clients in Illinois. This Interim Director of Nursing was looking for her next opportunity in Illinois with the stipulations that the location had to be close to family and compensation be highly competitive. The timing, location, and pay couldn’t have been more perfect, and she accepted the interim assignment.

However, this interim Director of Nursing shared with Danny that she would always have to work interim assignments since she did not have a financially secure future and thus, retirement was out of the question.

Unexpected Offer Seals Deal
MedBest’s Illinois CCRC client, absolucalltoy loved the Interim Director of Nursing. They couldn’t say enough great things about her and wanted to turn the interim assignment into a permanent role.

MedBest’s Interim Director of Nursing was hesitant at first thinking that she would earn more continuing to work as an interim. However, the organization offered her an 11% increase in pay, which is almost unheard of.  Plus, they offered an attractive benefits package that included generous PTO and a 401k retirement plan with employer match. Danny facilitated the offer and was thrilled that it included an opportunity for a secure and sound financial future.
