5001 – CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – FINANCIALLY STRONG NURSING HOME & ASSISTED LIVING OPERATOR – MICHIGAN

MedBest Recruiting, an Executive Search Firm, is seeking qualified candidates for an opportunity to join our client as their next Chief Financial Officer.

Company Overview

Our client is a highly respected Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living organization that has been serving the senior population in Michigan and Ohio for over 40 years.  They now own a number of properties with Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living represented in their portfolio.. They are a stable, healthy and profitable company that is growing quickly.

Position Overview:

The CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. Overall responsibility for accounting, budgeting, reporting, information systems and payroll.

Working as a collaborative leader, the CFO is responsible for managing and reporting on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs, including reporting to investors, lenders, grantors, and government agencies; cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance department.

The CFO collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as well as the Board of Directors to develop and implement the organization’s business plan to meet its strategic goals.

Education and Experience Required:

• Higher education with a preference of Master’s degree or higher
• CPA or Accounting Degree strongly preferred
• Skilled Nursing experience preferred
• 5+ years of Executive Leadership experience
• Subject matter expert in all areas of finance including accounting, cost reporting, budget processes, etc.
