Regional Clinical Director (RN Required)
Multi-Site Skilled Nursing Leadership | Virginia Beach Area

MedBest is seeking a Regional Clinical Director for a highly visible clinical leadership opportunity supporting skilled nursing centers in the Virginia Beach market and surrounding area.

This is a hands-on regional role overseeing a manageable group of skilled nursing facilities, with a strong focus on clinical oversight, survey readiness, team development, and operational structure. The organization is actively investing in additional regional support, allowing each Regional Clinician to maintain a smaller, more manageable portfolio and stay closely connected to building operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong, organized RN leader who thrives in fast-paced skilled nursing environments and enjoys mentoring DONs, improving systems, and helping stabilize teams. While prior regional experience is preferred, the organization is also open to seasoned DONs ready to step into regional leadership.

The Opportunity

This is not a “sit behind the desk” regional role. Leadership is seeking someone visible, accountable, and highly engaged in the buildings. The ideal candidate is a clinician who can coach teams, strengthen survey preparedness, improve structure, and drive consistency across operations.

The portfolio includes a mix of stable, high-performing centers and one turnaround-focused building with significant opportunity for leadership impact. High-acuity clinical experience is valued.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide clinical oversight and support across 2–3 skilled nursing facilities

  • Drive regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Partner closely with Administrators, DONs, and nurse leadership teams

  • Improve structure, accountability, and operational consistency within the buildings

  • Monitor quality measures, risk management, and clinical outcomes

  • Mentor and coach clinical leaders to create sustainable improvements

  • Support MDS insight, systems development, and process improvement initiatives

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Manageable Regional Scope: Smaller building portfolio with strong regional support structure

  • Visible Leadership: Opportunity to make a measurable impact inside the buildings

  • Growth-Oriented Organization: Leadership focused on expansion, investment, and long-term improvement

  • Collaborative Culture: Strong emphasis on teamwork, transparency, communication, and accountability

  • Robust Compensation Package: Base salary, Bonus potential, Benefits

  • Leadership Access: Direct interaction with divisional and regional clinical leadership teams

What You Bring

  • Active RN license required

  • Strong skilled nursing / LTC regulatory experience

  • Prior DON, Clinical Director, or Regional Nurse Consultant experience preferred

  • Ability to lead with urgency, organization, and accountability

  • Strong communication and coaching skills

  • Experience managing survey readiness and performance improvement

  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support teams operationally and clinically
