Director of Nursing (RN) – Tampa, Florida
MedBest is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strong clinical leadership and oversight at a high-acuity skilled nursing and rehab center in Tampa, FL. This battle-tested center is not your standard “age-in-place” facility; it is a dynamic rehab setting that prioritizes customer care with unmatched corporate support—even in a natural disaster, leadership is on the ground protecting residents and staff.
The Role
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned nurse leader with proven DON experience in long-term care or skilled nursing. As Director of Nursing, you’ll be at the heart of clinical decision-making, partnering closely with a supportive Administrator while having direct access to high-caliber Regional and Corporate resources. This isn’t your typical budget-cutting, PPD-cramping operation—it’s a forward-thinking organization that invests in people, resources, and quality care.
You won’t be on an island—the DON here is supported by a robust clinical leadership team including an ADON, Second Unit Manager, Staff Development Director, Infection Preventionist, MDS Coordinator, 3–11 Supervisor, Weekend Supervisor, and a dedicated Scheduler/Central Supply. These roles are not counted in PPD, meaning you’ll always have layers of support beyond staffing minimums.
