MedBest is currently recruiting for a Sales Director opportunity with a growing Independent Living community in the North Jersey area. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role focused on driving occupancy growth, overseeing the sales process, and managing a small sales team.
The organization is looking for someone with senior living sales leadership experience who is polished, relationship-driven, comfortable presenting, and able to both lead a team and personally contribute to sales efforts. For someone with a solid background at the Director level within senior living sales, this is viewed as a very manageable and well-supported opportunity.
The Opportunity
This role oversees sales efforts for a smaller Independent Living community, with major investment and expansion already underway. The community is adding newly renovated Independent Living apartments, creating significant opportunity for continued occupancy growth and deposit generation over the next several years.
The environment offers an upscale, mid-century modern feel in a beautiful setting — large enough to offer growth opportunity, but still highly manageable from an operational and sales perspective.
What You’ll Do

Lead and manage the full Independent Living sales process

Drive occupancy growth and maintain a strong sales pipeline

Conduct tours, presentations, relationship-building, and closing activity

Evaluate, coach, and potentially rebuild the current sales team

Partner with corporate marketing on events and outreach initiatives

Host on-site and off-site sales events tied to the expansion project

Continue building momentum and deposits tied to the renovation and repositioning efforts

What They’re Looking For

Prior Director-level senior living sales experience

Strong Independent Living sales background preferred

Ability to actively sell, not just oversee marketing efforts

Comfortable leading, coaching, and holding a sales team accountable

Strong presentation and relationship-building skills

Local or reasonably commutable candidates strongly preferred
