MedBest is seeking a strategic and driven Affordable Senior Housing Executive to join a not-for-profit organization as their VP/Chief of Affordable Housing. This key member of the leadership team is the top affordable housing executive and will assume a strategic role in the overall management of their affordable housing portfolio which consists of approximately 100 properties throughout the U.S.

The ideal location would be West Coast U.S.; however, due to the size of the portfolio, the incoming Executive can reside anywhere with convenient access to an airport.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional business and financial acumen, multi-site and multi-state experience and an excellent reputation in the affordable housing business community.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic, results-oriented, affordable housing leader to play a key role in developing the strategy and leading the operations for innovative and fast-growing mission driven organizations.


  • 10+ years of Affordable Housing experience over large multi-site portfolios

  • Experience with all HUD subsidy programs and regulatory requirements, as well as the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline concerned with management, business or public administration, with a focus in property management, operations or a related field; equivalent training and professional experience is an acceptable substitute. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Preferred certifications: Fair Housing certification, Certified Professional of Occupancy, Certified Occupancy Specialist, Accredited Resident Manager, National Compliance Professional Executive Level
